Behind the Lens

Behind the lens (and the pencil) is an eighteen year old girl who's world revolves
around art, animals, and country music.
My name is Kristin and I have been creating art every since I can remember.

Photography is a passion of mine because I love capturing precious moments
I get to share with others and hope that one day I can become a successful
photographer. Although art is not part of my plans for college I am looking into earning my certification in photography so I can still do what I love while attending veterinary school. Drawing, along with sewing, is a big hobby of mine and I spent a lot of time throughout high school in multiple art classes. As an animal enthusiast I focus most of my art on animals because it gives me the chance to study their anatomy and structure. Recently I have been practicing working with people as exampled in my drawing Girl on Fire, a portrait of my favorite actress Jennifer Lawrence.

When I am not photographing or drawing something new I am busy keeping up with my active lifestyle. I have been an equestrian for twelve years and currently own and show my beloved horse Tango with my coach Meghan Bourque. I am a working staff member at A Touch of Majic Equestrian Center where I am currently an apprentice trainer in teaching riding lessons to students. Outside of the barn I have been an active member of my local 4-H horse club for ten years where I compete in public speaking, equine knowledge, and horse shows. I also have a big interest in hunting, guns, and archery.

I am looking forward to a busy future after graduation, one that includes my love of art and sports. I will be attending Mount Wachusett Community College in the fall of 2015 where I will begin the long and exciting journey to becoming a veterinarian in diagnostic imaging, but I will  never stop making art. Becoming a photographer will be a second profession as I have high hopes to turn AC Photography into my own business.

Thank you so much for visiting my site! I hope you enjoy looking at my galleries of my work!
